On August 11, 2025, CEO Leonardo De Zorzi took part in a report aired on Jornal Nacional — one of the most important news programs in Brazil — about the consequences of the tariff hike imposed by the United States on the Brazilian wood industry.
During the interview, Leonardo highlighted that the company’s production structure is extensive, covering everything from raw material harvesting to the logistics of exporting abroad. According to him, the taxation affects the entire chain, impacting not only direct jobs but also third-party suppliers.
“The wood industry is an extensive chain, and we manage all stages: the harvesting, the logistics of transporting raw materials to the manufacturing plants, and then the logistics from the plants to international destinations,” he stated.
The tariff hike has already led to reduced shifts, collective vacations, and temporary suspension of outsourced services, underscoring the severity of the economic impact.
